SProf. Dr. Susanta Kumar Das is a distinguished physicist, former Vice-Chancellor of Sylhet International University (2012–2016), and retired Professor of Physics at Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST). With over 50 years of experience, he is an expert in Low Energy Nuclear Physics, Laser Physics, Quantum Computation, and Political Economy.
A Freedom Fighter of the 1971 Liberation War, Dr. Das has authored more than 70 research publications, supervised over 50 postgraduate researchers, and held key leadership roles, including Head of the Department of Physics and Founding Head of the Department of Geography and Environment at SUST.
