Ahmed Borhan is a Researcher and Development Consultant with over two decades of experience in qualitative and quantitative research, socio-economic analysis, and policy advocacy. He currently serves as Research Director at the Centre for Social Research (CSR), where he leads evidence-based, action-oriented research across Asia and the Pacific. Trained as an anthropologist, he holds degrees in Anthropology from Jahangirnagar University and a Master’s in Development Studies from North South University.
Mr. Borhan specializes in rural transformation, livelihoods, migration, agri-food systems, and climate justice. He has extensive expertise in research design, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), value chain analysis, and program evaluation. He has collaborated with regional and international organizations including CIRDAP, SAARC Agriculture Center, AFA, UNDP, GIZ, IFAD, and FAO, and is a frequent speaker at international forums.
